The Israeli Naval Academy Alumni Association
The Migdalor Foundation - Israeli Naval Academy Alumni Association, is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to the development and empowerment of Israeli Naval Academy Alumni. The organization operates several Mentoring programs, pre-discharge seminars, meetups and alumni events with the main focus on business and social entrepreneurship. We leverage the experience and knowledge of our alumni, amongst them the founders of companies such as Wix, WeWork, Outbrain, Windward, Mobiwize and more. In addition, our community includes senior executives in companies like SodaStream, Electra Real Estate, Tesla, Deloitte, Bed Bath & Beyond, and many more.
Furthermore, the Migdalor community works together to narrow social gaps in underprivileged sectors. We do that by coaching, mentoring for excellence and teamwork - which are core values in our Naval training and service. Last but not least - our alumni community works together to support Naval Academy cadets and officers while in service, and help them in their discharge process with dedicated seminars and workshops.
ABOUT THE ISRAELI NAVAL ACADEMY
The Israeli Naval Academy is one of the longest and most demanding training programs in the IDF. The 2-and-a-half years long course is dedicated to prepare cadets for service on-board Naval fighting ships, submarines and patrol ships. The course is done in 3 different areas of expertise - Electronic Warfare, Machinery and Operations.
Service in the Israeli Navy is an incubator for creative and technological thinking, and requires multi-disciplinary problem solving skills. Officers and crew are required to monitor and control a broad variety of combat systems, intelligence feeds and communications, while managing complicated settings both in training and combat. Naval Academy graduates lead their crews while applying the core values of team work and excellence they have gained during their training.
Naval Academy Alumni discharge from initial service at the age of 26 after 8-years of service completing two field stationings and one headquarters or instruction position.
